Lenovo has already demonstrated its laptop with a folding screen several times, and finally today a historic event took place: the new product-Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Fold — goes on sale. The creators present the device as the world's first computer with a flexible screen.

The screen is the main, and perhaps the only highlight of the laptop. It is based on an OLED panel with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and a diagonal of 13.3 inches in the unfolded state. When folded, the size of each half is 9.6 inches. Despite the complex mechanism of the hinges, which also consists exclusively of metal components, the laptop turned out to be very light — the weight is 999 grams.

Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Fold is built on the Intel platform, equipped with 8 GB of LPDDR4X-4267 MHz RAM. The amount of SSD M. 2 2242 size — up to 1 TB. The device configuration also includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 adapters, a 5G modem, two USB-C ports, a 5 MP front camera with an infrared camera, and a 50 WH battery.

Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Fold is one of the few laptops whose dimensions differ greatly in folded and unfolded States: 158.2 x 236 x 27.8 mm and 299.4 x 236 x 11.5 mm, respectively.

Lenovo has already opened a pre-order for the Thinkpad X1 Fold. The cost of new items in the United States — from $2500. In Europe, the device can be purchased from the end of October at a price of 2800 euros.

Lenovo also today unveiled its lightest laptop: the ThinkPad X1 Nano. It is slightly lighter than the Thinkpad X1 Fold, and also features a 2K screen.
