Ryzen 9 5900X is 15-20% faster than predecessor
The announcement of Ryzen 5000 processors is a week away, so there is more and more data about these products on the Web. So, today we can evaluate the performance of the Ryzen 9 5900X in the CPU-z benchmark.

To be more precise, there is no direct indication that this is the Ryzen 9 5900X, but the catalog code hints at this particular CPU, and the result indirectly confirms this.

So, the new product scored 652.8 and 9481.8 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes, respectively. And this is respectively 20.3% and 14.4% more than the Ryzen 9 3900X. Even if the result does not increase for production models, it is still very impressive, given the constant number of cores.

Recall that the latest rumors indicate that the first CPU of the new generation will be available on October 20, but it can only be two models: Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 7 5800X.
