iPhones dominate among the best-selling premium smartphones
While the smartphone market as a whole continues to decline, the segment of high-end models is experiencing growth. According to Canalys, sales of smartphones priced at $500 and above increased by 4.7% in the first quarter of this year, contrasting with a 13.3% decline in the overall market. As a result, premium devices accounted for 31% of all smartphone sales, making it the most dominant segment.

Unsurprisingly, Apple reigns supreme in this segment. The list of top-selling smartphones priced at $500 and above is led by the iPhone 14 Pro Max, followed by three other iPhone models. In the fourth position is the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, followed by the iPhone 14 Plus. The Galaxy S23 secures the next spot, and intriguingly, the iPhone 12 maintains a position on the list. Furthermore, the lineup includes the iPhone SE, with the only non-Apple devices being the Xiaomi 13 and Huawei Mate 50.

Despite a downward trend in the smartphone market overall, the segment of expensive smartphones is flourishing. Sales of devices priced at $500 and above experienced growth in contrast to the market as a whole. Apple dominates this segment, with the iPhone 14 Pro Max leading the pack. The presence of multiple iPhone models in the top-selling list underscores their popularity. Additionally, Xiaomi and Huawei make appearances alongside Samsung's Galaxy S23 Ultra.
