HP in December will start selling EliteDisplay E243d Docking Monitor, which will be offered at an approximate price of 330 US dollars. The device combines the functions of a traditional monitor and a docking station for a portable computer. The laptop can be connected via a symmetrical USB Type-C port; up to 65W of power is allowed. A USB 3.0 hub is provided for connecting peripherals. In addition, the monitor is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet network port (RJ-45) and a 720p webcam with an array of microphones that can be removed inside the case. The novelty is made on the matrix IPS size 23.8 inches diagonally. The resolution is 1920 × 1080 pixels, which corresponds to the Full HD format. Brightness, contrast and response time — 250 CD/m2, 1000:1 and 7 MS. Viewing angles horizontally and vertically reach 178 degrees. HDMI 1.4 and D-Sub interfaces are provided for connection of signal sources. The stand provides a full range of adjustments, including changing the height, tilt and rotation of the display.
