Google has ended support for another one of its products, the first-generation Chromecast will no longer receive updates. The device was released 10 years ago, so this primarily concerns security updates. It is still possible to use the Chromecast without them; however, Google warns that users may experience a decrease in performance, although the exact reason for this is unclear. The last update for the media adapter was released in November, but it was the only update in three years. | |
