Flagship OnePlus 8T will get an outdated camera from 2018
It seems that OnePlus intends to continue positioning the OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone released this spring as the only full-fledged flagship, even after the release of another flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 8T.

Earlier, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed that this year there will be no Pro version of the flagship. He added that the OnePlus 8T already turned out to be a great smartphone, it was impossible to make it even better, so there is simply no point in releasing the OnePlus 8T Pro.

However, it has now been revealed that the manufacturer uses an outdated Sony IMX586 image sensor in the autumn flagship smartphone. This sensor is used in OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 8 and even OnePlus Nord.

The previously released OnePlus 8 Pro uses a state-of-the-art Sony IMX689 image sensor. There is no information about whether the OnePlus 8T Pro will eventually appear on The market, but this year it will definitely not happen. In any case, OnePlus will have to explain to fans for this decision. It seems that the manufacturer just changed the strategy and decided to spread the release of OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8T Pro in time, so that they do not interfere with each other in the market.

The presentation of the OnePlus 8T is expected on October 14.
