Xiaomi Redmi 12 is almost a copy of Redmi 10
Xiaomi has not yet officially unveiled its budget smartphone, the Redmi 12, but the device briefly appeared on the Portuguese website of the manufacturer. However, the page has now been removed.

Most of the specifications align with what the insider, Digital Chat Station, described, but there are some differences. For example, the device will not have a 67W charger as previously rumored, which is generally logical. Instead, it will come with a standard 18W charger.

However, it will indeed be powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset. The smartphone will have either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, a 5000mAh battery, and a 50MP main camera. It will also feature a large 6.79-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

When comparing the new model to the Redmi 10 (since there was no Redmi 11 model), we see the same platform, memory subsystem, battery, and camera, but with a significantly larger screen.

The problem lies in the fact that the price of the new device was listed as €210 on the same Portuguese website. Meanwhile, the Redmi 10 was initially released on the European market with a price of €165. This means that Xiaomi has made almost no changes to the smartphone over the course of a year but has significantly increased its price.

The information about the smartphone was provided by insider Kacper Skrzypek, who has previously accurately predicted the release of Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, Redmi 10 Prime, and Redmi Pad.
