HP has once again upgraded its 2-in-1 Spectre x360 laptop transformers, and this time the changes promise to be more tangible.

The HP Spectre X360 13 (2018) and Spectre x360 15 (2018) models have a completely new design and more powerful processors. Also, the new products feature optional support for LTE networks and the ability to turn off the camera for user safety.

Based on the angular design of last year's models, the new versions of the Spectre x360 have become even more angular, making it easier to open the lid. Also note the presence of USB ports-C. 3, placed in the beveled corner of the case the Spectre x360, which simplifies the connection of the cable, regardless of open or closed cover of the device.

The big plus of the new 13-inch Spectre x360 is "the longest battery life in a Quad-core transformer", up to 22.5 hours in stand-alone mode (at 1080p display resolution). The battery life of the older model is up to 17 hours.

As expected, HP has added the latest eighth-generation Intel Core Quad-core (Whiskey Lake) processors to the 13-inch Spectre X360 laptop and six-core Intel Core Coffee Lake-H chips (there are also configurations with Quad-core chips) combined with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti GPU graphics (optional) and an updated cooling system to a larger 15-inch model.

It should also be noted that versions of the updated notebooks with a touch screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels are supplied with the HP SureView function, which provides "protection from spying".

The new Spectre X360 models have up to 16 GB of RAM, and the new NVMe M. 2 SSDS can have up to 512 GB of storage capacity. The Spectre X360 13 optionally comes with an infrared camera and a fingerprint scanner.

The weight of the Spectre 13 x360 is 1.3 kg, case thickness 14.5 mm. From the older model Spectre x360 15 is equal to the weight of 2.18 kg, the thickness of the body of 19.35 mm.

Updated laptops HP Spectre x360 13 and 15 will go on sale in the US in November at a price starting from $1149 and $1389 respectively.
