| Co-founder of Oculus VR Brendan Iribe has announced his departure from Facebook. According to the online edition of TechCrunch, Iraib had disagreements with the leadership of the Internet Corporation, in particular, on the development of the direction of virtual reality. According to rumors, Facebook has stopped the development of Rift 2 — the second generation VR headset for PC, which was to replace the original Oculus Rift, released in the summer of 2013, that is more than five years ago. Brendan Iribe founded Oculus VR in 2012 and continued to lead the project when he came into possession of Facebook. In his Twitter Iribe thanked all with whom he had the opportunity to collaborate during this time, writing that has gained invaluable experience working with so many talented people at Oculus and Facebook. At the same time, he noted that leaving Facebook would be his first real vacation in the last 20 years. In Facebook information about the termination of development of the Oculus Rift 2, which was attended by Brendan IRIB, not denied but not confirmed.
