Tesla cuts prices on its best-selling Model 3 and Model Y cars
This year, Tesla has been the most frequent in changing prices for its models. This time, prices for Tesla's best-selling vehicles have been reduced, with the maximum decrease exceeding $3,000.

Prices for the Model Y had already been slightly reduced in the second half of May after an increase earlier in the same month. Now they have been further reduced. The Model Y Dual-Motor Long-Range AWD is priced at $55,430, which is $560 less than before.

The Model 3 with rear-wheel drive received a price reduction of $3,210, bringing it down to $39,530. Tesla states on its website that the same model is eligible for federal tax incentives of up to $3,750. The automaker promises to deliver the cars within June-July.

One speculation is that the automaker simply wants to increase its sales and deliveries, hence the price reductions. Strong quarterly results have become Tesla's hallmark.

It is quite possible that Tesla is doing everything possible to clear inventory in preparation for the release of updated models. Rumors suggest that Tesla is working on an updated version of the Model Y codenamed "Juniper." The vehicle is expected to be available for sale in 2024.

There are also rumors of an imminent release of an update for the Model 3 codenamed "Highland." It could be unveiled at any moment.
