Sonos sues Google again
Sonos has accused Google of patent infringement for the second time this year. The first lawsuit was filed at the beginning of the year.

The new lawsuit adds five more patents to the original list of violations in Google's "certain audio players and controllers, components and products containing them." They cover the technologies that underpin some of Sonos ' best — known features, such as Trueplay, a tool that improves sound by calibrating the speaker to match the room's acoustic characteristics. The source recalls that the first lawsuit also includes five patents related to Sonos speakers. One of them relates to a technology that allows wireless speakers to sync with each other.

In June, Google filed a counterclaim, claiming that Sonos used Google's developments in search, software, networking, and audio processing without licensing.
