Skoda Superb 2024 was filmed for the first time during tests
Motor1's spy photographer captured images of two Skoda Superb prototypes undergoing testing, namely a wagon and a liftback.

At first glance, one might mistake the standard version for a sedan, but the photograph reveals a large liftgate equipped with a liftback. The picture showcases a spacious cargo area with convenient access.

Under the hood, it is presumed that a gasoline or diesel four-cylinder engine with a capacity of no more than 2 liters will be found. A plug-in hybrid model will be part of the lineup, but a full-fledged electric vehicle is not expected at this time. The new Superb will utilize an updated version of the Volkswagen MQB platform and may forgo a manual transmission in favor of an automatic.

The main changes will be focused on the front end: a larger octagonal grille, narrow headlights on either side, and a square chin with large vertically oriented angular ventilation openings. The rear lights will also be slimmer.

As for the wagon variant, the design of the taillights appears slightly larger to better complement the proportions of the larger rear end. The car was captured during towing tests. The wagon prototype also gives a glimpse of the new instrument panel from a distance. The redesign will be accompanied by a plethora of driver assistance technologies and other features.

Skoda has previously confirmed the autumn presentation of the next-generation Skoda Superb and Kodiaq and released the first teasers of the new models.
