Last summer, it was reported that Samsung can abolish the family of affordable smartphones Galaxy J-Series, forming two new series of devices- Galaxy R-Series and Galaxy P-Series. And now there is new information on this topic.

It is reported that the South Korean company is really preparing to release the first device of the new Galaxy R-Series family. They allegedly will be a mid-level smartphone on the platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 450. This processor contains eight ARM Cortex-A53 compute cores with clock speeds of up to 1.8 GHz, an Adreno 506 graphics accelerator, and an LTE modem with data rates of up to 300 Mbps.

It should be noted that the range of Samsung has previously been present device Galaxy R. It was released back in 2011, becoming the Junior version of the Galaxy s II. Now the company decided to revive this marking.
