Rockchip has announced a PX30 processor designed for use in car infotainment systems.

Chip configuration involves the use of four cores with ARM Cortex-A35 architecture. Clock frequency, unfortunately, is not specified.

As part of the graphics subsystem controller involved Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. It is noted that the processor is able to cope with the video content decoding 1080p H. 265/H. 264/VC-1/MPEG/VP8.

Among the supported interfaces are named SDIO3.0, USB2.0 HOST & OTG, I2C, UART, SPI, etc. Possible communications via 10/100M Ethernet.

You can use DDR4/DDR3/DDR3L/LPDDR3/LPDDR2 RAM and MLC NAND flash drives, as well as eMMC 4.51.

A typical car media center on the PX30 platform can be equipped with a 7-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapters, and a GPS receiver. Optional support for fourth-generation LTE mobile communication is possible.
