According to a statement from Seagate representatives, the speed of data exchange between the external drive and the game console will not be inferior to the speed of data transfer from the internal SSD drive. This capability is achieved by using the new Xbox Velocity Architecture technology. An external drive from Seagate for Xbox Series X\|S consoles will be available in one version-1 TB. Microsoft participated in the development of the drive. To date, the presented card is the only external drive that has sufficient performance to implement the Xbox Velocity Architecture technology. According to Seagate Vice President Jeff Fotchman, the Seagate memory card for the Xbox Series X\|S will provide gamers with the ability to store more game content, which can be used at speeds comparable to working with internal drives.
