MSI has revealed giant cooling systems for upcoming video cards
Despite the fact that GeForce RTX 40 graphics cards are much more energy-efficient than the RTX 30 models, manufacturers not only refrain from reducing the size of the cards and their coolers but, on the contrary, announce increasingly monstrous cooling solutions. At Computex 2023, MSI showcased several new solutions, and all of them are enormous.

MSI presented three designs: a radiator with bimetallic fins, a three-dimensional vapor chamber, and an integrated liquid cooling system.
Will graphics cards continue to grow in size? MSI showcased gigantic cooling systems for upcoming adapters.

The exact dimensions of each solution are not provided, but one of them occupies 4.2 expansion slots. This is less than the thickest graphics card on the market, the PNY RTX 4090 Verto ARGB Dual Fan, but still a significant size.

MSI states that all these developments are intended for future-generation graphics cards, at least for the RTX 4090 Ti if it is released, or possibly even for the RTX 50.
