Sony Interactive Entertainment and Lenovo announced the conclusion of a license agreement for a period of two years, which will allow Chinese companies to use industrial design PlayStation VR for VR-headsets Mirage Solo on the basis of the Daydream.

The agreement also provides for cooperation between the two companies in the work on improving the design of the device. For its part, Sony will assist Lenovo in further promoting VR virtual reality technology through its popular and time-tested technologies. No financial details about the transaction were provided to the company.

The main feature of Mirage Solo is the absence of the need to connect an external device, as all the necessary electronics for computing is inside, Lenovo Mirage Solo was launched in may for $399. In appearance, it really looks like a Sony PlayStation VR, partly due to the fact that both headsets are made in black and white.

Sony's PlayStation VR has been one of the best-selling VR devices on the market since its release in 2016. During the period from October 2016 to August this year, more than 3 million pieces of this headset were sold.
