Intel didn't help Tesla and couldn't implement Qualcomm's requirements
Intel is currently experiencing difficulties in attracting major clients to its semiconductor business. The company has not been able to assist Tesla and failed to meet Qualcomm's requirements. Intel is struggling to secure significant clients for its semiconductor business.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Tesla and Qualcomm had previously engaged in negotiations with Intel regarding the production of their chips using Intel's capabilities. However, Tesla refrained from collaborating with Intel because the latter was not willing to provide substantial assistance to the customer in developing the required processors and adapting them to its own technological capabilities. Meanwhile, Qualcomm was disappointed by certain technical errors and repeated delays during the prototyping process. It turned out that Intel could not achieve the desired results for its potential client.

It is worth noting that recently, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang expressed satisfaction with Intel's performance and stated that Nvidia might consider handing over GPU orders to the processor giant in the future. However, at this point, these are only possibilities.

Last year, Intel earned approximately $895 million from chip manufacturing for third-party clients, accounting for only 2% of the company's total revenue. Nevertheless, Intel has allegedly already secured contracts worth a total of $4 billion.
