| HP introduced the new transformable Spectre Folio notebook based on 8th generation Intel Core processors with integrated graphics Intel UHD Graphics 615, which, unlike other companies' devices and previous HP models, has a leather-covered clad. The basis of the case is a frame made of magnesium alloy, to which the outer leather shell is attached. The laptop has the world's smallest motherboard, designed in conjunction with Intel, to maximize the number of battery sections. According to the company, a 6-section laptop battery with a capacity of 54.28 Wh provides from 12.75 to 19 hours of operation of the device without recharging (with Core i5 processor, with Core i7 processor — 17 hours of battery life) depending on the way of use. Support for LTE networks reduces the laptop's battery life to a 14 hours. The Spectre Folio laptop is equipped with a 13.3-inch IPS touch screen with WLED, which has a resolution of Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels). The 4K UHD screen resolution option will be available for the laptop later this year. On board the laptop has 8 GB of RAM LPDDR3 with a frequency of 1866 MHz, solid-state drive PCIe NVMe, 2 SSDS with a capacity of 256 GB, wireless adapters Wi-Fi Intel 802.11 b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C port, 3.5 audio for headphones and microphone. The laptop is equipped with an infrared HP WideVision FHD webcam with two microphones. As in previous models of the Spectre series, Bang & Olufsen speakers provide high sound quality. The Spectre Folio comes with a digital pen. The laptop does not have a fingerprint sensor, but its camera supports Windows Hello face recognition technology. Spectre Folio is already available for pre-order on the HP and Best Buy websites. The cost of the model based on Intel Core i5 processor starts from $1299, based on Intel Core i7 (with LTE support) — from $1499. Sales of the basic Spectre Folio model with the Intel Core i7 processor will begin in the Best Buy stores on October 29, the price is still unknown. | |
