GIGABYTE is working on a new modification of the graphics accelerator GeForce GTX 1060, as informs resource VideoCardz.

Currently, there are versions of the GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, carrying from 3 to 6 GB of GDDR5 memory with a 192-bit bus. The basis is GP106 processor based on Pascal architecture.

GIGABYTE is supposedly preparing a version of GeForce GTX 1060, which will be equipped with GDDR5X memory. Its volume will be 6 GB (192-bit bus).

The basis of the video card allegedly serve as a chip GP104 in the "stripped-down" configuration. There is no information about the number of stream processors yet. The frequency formula of the graphics accelerator has not yet been revealed.

Development the version of the GeForce GTX 1060 on the GP104 processor was reported in may of this year. Probably, now GIGABYTE is ready to bring these graphic cards to the commercial market.
