GIGABYTE has officially introduced the z390 Aorus Xtreme motherboard. The novelty is the most expensive and most advanced GIGABYTE motherboard on the new Intel z390 chipset.

A key feature of the Z390 Aorus Xtreme is its power subsystem, which includes 16 phases and a pair of 8-pin EPS connectors to power the processor. On the power subsystem installed massive aluminum radiators with copper heat pipe, directly in contact with the power elements. Powerful power will be useful when overclocking new Coffee Lake Refresh processors, and according to the manufacturer, will be able to provide overclocking up to 5 GHz or even higher on all cores.

In addition, the e-ATX PCB has four slots for DDR4 memory modules, three PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots and two PCI Express 3.0 x1 slots. To connect the storage devices from Z390 Xtreme Aorus features three M. 2 slot, each of which is provided with a radiator, as well as six SATA III ports.

The sound subsystem of the board includes Realtek ALC1220-VB audio codec, ESS Sabre ES9018K2M DAC, TI OPA1622 operational amplifiers and WIMA capacitors. For network connections in the Z390 Aorus Xtreme meets Intel controller with a bandwidth of 1 GB/s, controller Aquantia with a bandwidth of 10 GB / s, as well as wireless controller Intel, providing Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 5. Note that the latter has support for the 160 MHz standard for wireless connections.

Also there are three USB 3.1 Type-C ports, two of which also support the Thunderbolt 3 interface, and are able to display the image. Of course, not without RGB-lighting, which is richly decorated with various elements on the motherboard. Finally, we note the presence of various "overclocking stuff" like the power buttons, reset and reset, or connectors for temperature sensors and indicator POST-codes.
