Galaxy S23 Ultra costs Samsung 469 dollars at a retail price of 1200 dollars
According to Counterpoint's analysis, the flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has a retail price of $1200, while the manufacturing cost for the company is approximately three times lower.

The analysis reveals that Samsung's production cost for the flagship is around $469. Thus, Samsung earns over $700 on each Galaxy S23 Ultra, but this, of course, does not account for various factors such as marketing, research and development, and so on. Additionally, assembly costs are not considered, although they are typically very low when calculated per device.

More than one-third of the production cost is attributed to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which accounts for around $165, a considerable amount. The screen follows as the second most expensive component, accounting for 18% of the cost, followed by the cameras (14%) and memory (11%). In total, 67% of the production cost is attributed to Qualcomm and Samsung components.
