EVGA, like other motherboard manufacturers, has officially unveiled its products based on the new Intel z390 chipset. The manufacturer announced two motherboards: the flagship Z390 Dark and a slightly less advanced Z390 FTW.

As expected, the motherboard EVGA Z390 Dark was created for extreme overclocking enthusiasts, and as the manufacturer claims, it will "squeeze all the gigahertz" of the processors Intel Core 9th generation. A key feature of the new product is a massive power subsystem, which includes 17 phases and two 8-pin power connectors of the EPS processor.

The layout of the motherboard is also remarkable. The processor power connectors are located next to the 24-pin ATX power connector on the right side of the PCB. For easy connection on an open stand, the connectors are oriented horizontally rather than vertically. Memory modules on The Z390 Dark also placed on non-standard slots - they are located above the CPU socket, not to the right of it. There are many other "overclocking things", such as contacts for voltage measurement, power and reset buttons, indicator of POST-codes, etc.

The z390 Dark has three PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots and one PCI Express 3.0 x4 slot. To connect storage devices, there are two slots, one with a capacity of up to 110 mm solid state drives, eight SATA III ports and one U2 connector. A pair of Gigabit network controllers Intel, and wireless networks Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Creative Sound Core3D Quad-core audio processor is responsible for the sound.

EVGA Z390 FTW motherboard has a traditional layout and is designed for less demanding users. This board received a power subsystem with 11 phases and one 8-pin power connector EPS. This new product is equipped with four DDR4 slots that support modules with a frequency of 4133 MHz and above, as well as the model Z390 Dark.

There are also two PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots and one PCI Express 3.0 x4 and two PCI Express 3.0 x1 slots. For storage devices, there are two slots (up to 80 and 110 mm) and six SATA III ports. Network controller there is only one, Intel Gigabit, and wireless support no. For the sound codec Realtek ALC1220.

Unfortunately, neither the cost nor the start date of sales of EVGA Z390 Dark and Z390 FTW motherboards are unknown.
