| The U.S. patent and trademark office (USPTO) has granted Dell a patent for the design of a mysterious audio device, which appears under the common name "Speaker". The document describes only the appearance of the gadget. Any technical characteristics, unfortunately, are not given. As you can see in the illustrations, the device has a rounded shape. At the top there is a panel with controls: there are buttons to adjust the volume, activate Bluetooth, as well as to accept or reject a phone call. In the back of the gadget you can see a set of connectors. Judging by the images, there is a standard 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB port. It is not yet clear whether Dell is designing a traditional Bluetooth speaker or a smart speaker with voice assistant. But it should be noted that in the Central part of the control panel you can see the button with the microphone icon. The patent application was filed in November 2016. The document was published in the first days of the current month. On the possible timing of the release of new items is not reported. | |
