ASUS continues to expand its range of Chromebook models in low budget price level. Following the laptop Chromebook C223NA, released last month, the company without much excitement posted on its website new model of a portable computer Chromebook C423 running the operating system Chrome OS.

Chromebook is available in two versions. One of them is based on a dual-core 14-nm processor Celeron N3350 generation Intel Apollo Lake with an operating frequency of 1.1 GHz and is equipped with a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels, a 16:9 aspect ratio and led backlight. The display does not support touch control.

The second variant of the Chromebook uses a 14-nm system on an Intel Pentium n4200 chip with four cores clocked at 1.1 GHz, and the resolution of the 14-inch touch (optional) display with anti-reflective coating is 1920 × 1080 pixels.

The amount of RAM LPDDR4 with a frequency of 2400 MHz is 4 or 8 GB, the capacity of the flash module eMMC-32 or 64 GB, there is a slot for SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards.

The specifications of the portable computer also include wireless adapters Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2×2), Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.0 Type-C ports and two USB 3.1, a webcam and a 38Wh battery providing up to 10 hours of battery life. The weight of the device is 1.2 - 1.34 kg depending on the configuration. The price of ASUS Chromebook C423 will be announced later.
