Apple has ordered developers to return the purchased Mac mini DTK
When Apple announced the transition from Intel x86 processors to its own single-chip systems with ARM architecture, the company offered a special Mac mini based on the A12Z Bionic (Developer Transition Kit, DTK), so that developers can update their applications for macOS under ARM. Now, the company has asked for the return of these DTKS to the Mac mini, as computers based on the new M1 chip were introduced last November.

In an email sent to developers, Apple said that developers will soon have to return the Developer Transition Kit devices, as they were designed only for testing applications on the Apple Silicon platform. According to the company, developers who own the Mac mini DTK must return it in its original packaging. A new email will be sent in the coming weeks with instructions on how to forward the Developer Transition Kit back to Apple.
