AMD has introduced a new graphics card on the Polaris graphics processor. However, it is not Radeon RX 590, as you might think, and the new version of the graphics card Radeon RX 580. Novelty called Radeon RX 580 2048SP.

As you can guess from the name, the new Radeon RX 580 2048SP is built on a downgraded version of the Polaris 20 GPU, which has 2048 stream processors still active. The same GPU configuration is used in the Radeon RX 570 graphics card, while the standard Radeon RX 580 uses the full version of Polaris 20 with 2304 stream processors.

The clock frequency of the GPU graphics card Radeon RX 580 2048SP is 1168/1284 MHz. This is slightly higher than the Radeon RX 570 (1168/1244 MHz), but lower than the Radeon RX 580 (1257/1340 MHz). The TDP level is the same as that of Radeon RX 570 — 150W.

In addition to the GPU configuration, the Radeon RX 580 2048SP is similar to the Radeon RX 570 and video memory: it uses 8 GB of GDDR5 memory with a frequency of 1750 MHz. In a normal Radeon RX 580 uses memory with a frequency of 2000 MHz. A 256-bit bus is used to connect the memory.

This is the fourth version of the Radeon RX 580 graphics card, and it is unlikely to be officially sold outside of China.
