AMD denied rumors about the termination of production of Radeon RX 5700 video cards
AMD has denied rumors that it has curtailed production of Radeon RX 5700 graphics cards. Recall that earlier, with the filing of the French resource Cowcotland, many specialized media reported that the "Reds" stop producing older models of video cards of the current Radeon RX 5000 series in favor of future graphics solutions based on the new Big Navi architecture.

Tom's Hardware resource decided to contact AMD for comments about this information, but they strongly denied these rumors.

"We continue to produce Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards. They are ready to provide an outstanding gaming experience at 1440p resolution. We continue to respond to market demand," AMD responded in an email to Tom's Hardware resource.

Although the company is indeed going to introduce a new generation of RX 6000 graphics cards on the new Big Navi architecture on October 28, at the moment there are no prerequisites to stop production of Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT graphics cards. For their price, they do offer a decent level of performance.

In addition, like NVIDIA, AMD is not immune from the fact that after the release of a new series of video cards, they will not be sold out in seconds by speculators, leaving most potential buyers with nothing. In this regard, AMD needs to have an affordable alternative. At least for the start of sales of the new series.

The same Radeon RX 5700 is about 10 % faster than the GeForce RTX 2060 Super and at the same time cheaper than the new GeForce RTX 3070 models. Therefore, for those who do not need the ability to play comfortably in 4K resolution and do not want to wait for the announcement of new cards, the Radeon RX 5700 can still be a good choice.
