A whole Alliance of developers is now fighting with Apple and the App Store policy | |

The new Alliance will include a group of developers and companies that will form the Coalition for App Fairness (CAF). CAF will push for new laws and reforms that promote healthy competition in app stores through public policy rather than legal action. Currently, well-known members of the Alliance include app manufacturers such as Match Group, Deezer, Tile, ProtonMail, European Publishers Council, and News Media Europe. So far, the Coalition for App Fairness is primarily focused on Apple, with which Epic Games continues to have legal proceedings. According to members of The coalition, the Cupertino giant has a monopoly policy, while "the basic freedoms of developers are under threat." This group published a list of 10 "app store principles" that includes "non-exclusive app distribution, equal levels of access and promotion for developers, transparent store policies, and the ability to offer third-party app stores on the platform." CAF is seeking to change the App Store policy, which has led to numerous complaints from developers. | |
